Some time ago another Canadian blogger was kind enough to outline the recent “excitement” in our democracy. Granted, it’s not the sort of excitement that most people are envying (or not envying) but it once again proves that anime is capable of explaining anything.
Things are not quite as simple this year though, given a new character has joined the mix:

Or rather, should I say:

The closest analogue, though I doubt the existence of Ignatieff x Dion doujinshi...

The closest analogue, though I doubt the existence of Ignatieff x Dion doujinshi...

Seeing that Dion has now been memory wiped removed from Liberal leadership, the new coalition is headed by Ignatieff. Much like Rolo, Ignatieff’s been in the back wings of the Liberal Party ever since losing to Dion in the previous Liberal leadership race, and like any good yandere-shota he was mostly staying quiet. Now that he’s off the hook, it’s unclear which way he’ll turn – he is a *tad* notorious for being only a reluctant supporter of the Liberal-NDP-Bloc Coalition, and some comments he has made recently do cast doubt on the possibility of challenging Harper immediately after Parliament returns in January. Although one thing’s for sure, regardless of which way it goes, the Canadian public will be trolled hard.

Canadian politics, trainwrecking since 1867.
